Chelsea Music Festival announces its 15th season "Connecting the Dots" June 21-29, 2024, which traces how music and art allows us to touch what seems intangible, repair what seems broken, and reimagine our interconnectedness with one another. The Festival will focus on the restorative powers of the arts and ways that music and art both calm and reinvigorate the brain and nervous system.
This season’s programming brings together important voices in new music with works by Ania Vu, Tebogo Monnakgotla, Nicky Sohn, Jacob Beranek, and Augusta Read Thomas, and chamber music by Poulenc, Fauré, Smetana, Fanny Mendelssohn and Clara & Robert Schumann. Our illustrious Jazz lineup will include bassist John Patitucci, pianists Renee Rosnes, Helen Sung & Adam Birnbaum, and percussionists Keito Ogawa and Rogério Boccato in programs showcasing collaboration and jazz plasticity. We look forward to returning to Genesis House, High Line Nine, and St. Paul's German Church as well as featuring concerts at the Czech Center and DiMenna Center for the first time!
